In fact Connie van den Bos has always been dancing through life! At the age of three she was the youngest pupil in the ballet class. Later she also did jazz ballet and aerobics. In high school the first ballroom dance lessons started. With her husband Jan, she practised ballroom and latin dancing, with a few short breaks, for more then 25 years.

When Connie discovered line dancing, soon one hour a week was not enough. She began visiting other clubs and started to learn dances from English sheets. She skipped levels and went in no time to the advanced classes.

But even that was not enough. The quest for knowledge had begun. She visited the internet for many hours and soon she followed lessons to become instructor together with Jan, who was of course also infected with the line dance virus.

In February 2000 Jan and Connie started their own line dance club The Do Si Do Dancers in the Netherlands, where they teach line dancing in their own special way and in a relaxed atmosphere with lots of fun. They dance on country and modern music.

After Jan accepted the challenge from Lizzy Clarke to write a waltz, a very successful one called Stars In The Heavens, Connie also decided to give it a try under the alias Lady C. Of course with the assistance of Jan, who, due to his busy DJ work (Big Bad John), has in fact not enough time anymore to write dances himself.

In the mean time several of Connie’s dances have taken their turn in Line Dance Land. Getting’ Over You was used for competition. Wam Bam-A-Lam on the Deans track Wig Wam Bam, was so popular that The Deans asked Connie to write more dances on their music. This brand-new successor Rockin’ Daddy seems to overtake the success of Wam Bam-A-Lam with giant steps. Here in the Netherlands but even also in The UK and Germany it has been well received.
